For this card I had an idea right off the bat. I have some photography of weeds and grass, and I wanted to incorporate those.
Then I worked from there, writing down related words and elements, and trying different layouts with the needed information.
In doing this, I realized I needed a logo concept for the company. So, I did a quick drawing of the dandelion with a crown based on his tagline “The only weed you need in your yard.”
Card 1
Looking back through some of my old photography, I found the perfect image for “Mike Weed” and keep the front simple. I faded that image to a gradient that would be an easy color to tie to the back.
On the back would be the logo, his contact information, and plenty of space to write appointment notes.
Card 2
I still used my photography, but changed the accent shapes on the left. I also opted for adding all his information on the front along with his logo.
Having the information on the front leaves more room on the back for appointment notes, information, and anything else that would need to be written down.
Card 3
This card has the most elements to it, so I left the background white to give them room.
The front is his name, title, logo, tagline, and contact information.
The back would feature one of his designs or a photo of his work (as a reminder of everything he could do for the client) next to the appointment information.
